Deer Park Avenue is a sister rock duo of Sarah and Stephanie Snyder.

They are the winners of Hard Rock Rising, Washington D.C., a battle of the bands hosted by one of the world’s most popular music websites, ReverbNation. They are voting members of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) in the Washington D.C. Chapter. Their work has also been nominated in the All Indie Music Awards, the RAW Awards for Outstanding Music (San Francisco), the Sunset Island Music Awards, the LA Music Awards (Album of the Year), and for Outstanding Pop/Rock in Sacramento’s highest music honor, the Sammies.

DPA formed in Sacramento, pulling their name from the street where they grew up on Long Island, NY. They released their debut EP, City Streets, which instantly gained an enthusiastic local audience. Gigging locally in support of the EP, Deer Park Avenue built a grassroots fan base that has since grown into thousands of Twitter followers, Facebook likes, and YouTube views from all around the world.

Their latest release, Stop & Go, is a collection of high-energy rock songs, driving and melodic, with the retro-punk edge that has come to define their sound. They co-produced the album with renowned producer and bassist Matt Bissonette, who has worked with the likes of Brian Wilson, Rick Springfield, Don Henley, and countless others. Their track “Millionaire” also features Grammy Award-winning drummer Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Santana, Ringo Starr), playing double drums with Stephanie.

Deer Park Avenue have toured on both coasts of the US as well as in Switzerland, France, and Germany. They’re known for their enthusiastic live shows and love for the road, playing up and down the California coast at such high-profile venues as the Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood and the Hard Rock Cafe in San Francisco.

Their songs have had airplay all over the US and overseas, including the UK, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Internet radio worldwide, and they’ve played live on TV in California. “Waiting for You” was selected for a documentary collaboration between Billabong and DirecTV, and their popular track “Darkness Hides Me” won a competition with hundreds of votes on Bay Area radio station S*ALT.
