Audix proudly welcomes percussionist Bashiri Johnson to its roster of professional endorsers. Born in Brooklyn and based in New York City the “Bash-man” is one of the most visible and recorded percussionists on the planet. From his recent appearance at The White House for a PBS tribute to Motown to the Michael Jackson film “This Is It”, Bashiri has recorded and/or performed with such artists as Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Donald Fagen, Madonna, Steve Winwood, Rolling Stones, Celine Dion, Rancid, Angelique Kidjo, Gloria Estefan, Paul Simon, Barbara Streisand, Spice Girls, Miles Davis, Mary J Blige, Ray Charles, Jay Z, Eric Clapton, Sade, Kenny G, Lionel Richie, Kenny Garrett, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Queen, Gypsy Kings, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Nina Simone, Herbie Hancock, Luther Vandross, and many others.

Bashiri has chosen the following microphones for his set up: M44 clip-on condenser for all congas, i5 for timbales, D4 for Cajon, Bombo, CX112B for percussion overheads, ADX51 for handheld toys and goody table.
